What Dirt Empire is for
Dirt Empire is a single-player mining game. You tap the screen to break blocks of dirt, stone and ore. Broken blocks pay out a currency called dirt, which you spend on upgrades — a heavier pickaxe, an automatic drill, a refinery — so the mine digs faster and keeps digging while the game is closed. Clear a layer and you drop to the next one, where the rock is harder and the ore is worth more.
That is the whole of the application. It is a game and nothing else. It is not a productivity, finance, messaging, social or data-processing tool, it has no user accounts of its own, it shows no advertising, and it publishes nothing about you anywhere.
How you use it
- Tap to mine. Each tap damages the block in front of your miner until it breaks and pays out.
- Spend the payout on upgrades across three categories — Mining, Energy and Logistics.
- Leave it alone. Hire the Night Shift and the drill keeps working offline; you collect the haul when you return.
- Cash out a finished mine for permanent shards that make the next run faster, and start again deeper.
Why Dirt Empire asks you to sign in to Google
Signing in is entirely optional and the game is fully playable without it. Its only purpose is saving your game progress so it survives a lost, reset or replaced phone.
If you choose to sign in to Google Play Games, Dirt Empire stores a single saved-game
file in the hidden application-data folder of your own Google Drive, using the
drive.appdata scope through Google Play Games Services. That folder is
private to this app: Dirt Empire cannot see, open, list or touch any other file in your
Drive, and no other app can read what it writes there.
The saved file contains gameplay values only — dirt earned, taps, current layer, upgrade levels, medals, daily streak, which optional purchases you own, and your sound settings. No personal information is added to it, none of it is sent to Rafferty Software LLC, and we operate no servers that could receive it.
You can delete the saved file at any time from Settings → Delete Save inside the game, or from the Google Play Games app. Full detail is in the Privacy Policy.

|---|---|---|
| Google Play Games sign-in | To identify which player profile a saved game belongs to, so the right save comes back on a new device. | We never see your name, email address or Play Games player ID. |

To store and retrieve one saved-game file for Dirt Empire. | No access to your documents, photos or any other file in Drive. The scope cannot reach them. |
What is in the game
Three trades
Mining buys heavier swings and better luck. Energy buys an auto drill and the power to run it. Logistics buys a refinery, a surveyor and a foreman.
Off the clock
Hire the Night Shift and the mine keeps running after you close the game. Come back to a report of everything it pulled up while you were gone.
Cash out
When a run stops paying, sell the mine. You lose the layers and keep the shards, and every shard makes the next dig permanently faster.
Medals and daily pay
Twelve medals, each a small permanent bonus. Show up daily for a growing streak, and a shard every seventh day.
Made to be left alone
- No ads. Not one.
- No analytics and no tracking. The game contains no advertising, analytics or crash-reporting SDK.
- Plays offline. No account and no sign-in required.
- Optional purchases. Shortcuts only — nothing is behind a wall.
- Chunky pixel art, one hand, one thumb, portrait only.
